Import & export sets

Move your option sets from one shop to another in one file. Each set keeps its identity, so products already using it line up on the new shop.

Export your sets

1. In the WordPress menu, go to BossMage, then Option sets.
2. Press Export all sets.

You get one JSON file holding every set, with its choices, prices and swatches.

Import your sets

1. On the other shop, go to BossMage, then Option sets.
2. Press Choose file… and pick the file you exported.
3. Press Import sets.

The sets appear in the list. If a set is already there, the import updates it. A product that uses a set finds it again as soon as the set exists.

Move product setups

Pro You can also move what each product carries: its sets, fields and other parts.

1. In the WordPress menu, go to BossMage, then Import / Export.
2. Under Export products, tick the products you want. Search by name or SKU to find them.
3. Tick Include photos if you want them, then press Export.
4. On the other shop, open the same page and, under Import products, choose the file.
5. For each product in the file, pick where it goes under Import to: a matching product, Create a draft product, or Skip.
6. Press Import.

Products are matched by SKU, or by name. Importing replaces the options on the products you picked. Their prices and photos stay as they are.

When to use it

• Staging to live. Build and test your sets on a staging site, then carry them to the live shop.
• Agency work. Keep a house library of sets and add it to each client’s shop.
• A second shop. Share one set library across the shops you run.
• A backup. Keep a copy of your sets before a big change.

Sets are shared with BundleBoss

The same library serves BundleBoss bundles on the same shop. A set you import is ready in both plugins.

What you should see

After an import, BossMage, then Option sets, lists the imported sets. Open a product that used one, and the set is attached as before.
