Troubleshooting

Most issues come down to one of a few things. Work down this list before getting in touch, and if none of it helps, send us a note with your WordPress, WooCommerce and AddOnBoss versions and a link to the product.

The options are not showing on the product page

• The product has no price. A product with no price is not purchasable in WooCommerce, so its Add to cart area, and the options with it, never render. Set a price on the General tab. Zero is fine if the options are the whole price. The Product Options panel warns you when the price is blank.
• On a variable product, the variation has no price. The options show once a priced variation is chosen. Price the variations as usual.
• Nothing is attached. Open the Product Options panel and check a set or field is actually attached and saved.

A field is not appearing

• It is gated by a rule. A field with a conditional rule stays locked until the trigger value is chosen. That is intended; pick the trigger and it appears.
• It is restricted to certain variations. A field limited to some variations stays inert for the rest. Check its variation restriction, or clear it so it applies to all.

A choice is not being charged

• A choice hidden by a conditional rule is inert on purpose: it is never charged while locked, even if a value is submitted. Unlock it by choosing its trigger.
• Check the option or field actually carries a fee, and the fee mode is what you expect. See pricing & fees.

The price looks wrong

• Tax display. Prices follow your shop’s tax display setting. A figure that looks off is usually inclusive versus exclusive tax; check WooCommerce → Settings → Tax.
• A “once” fee at higher quantities. A one-off fee is charged once for the line, not per unit, by design. A per-item fee multiplies. Confirm which mode the field uses.

AddOnBoss says it is waiting for BundleBoss

If you run both plugins and AddOnBoss shows a notice that it is standing down, your BundleBoss still provides product options itself and predates the version that hands them to AddOnBoss. Update BundleBoss to a current version and AddOnBoss activates automatically. This guard exists so the two never clash while one is out of date.

The controls look wrong in my theme

AddOnBoss styles its own chips, pills and inputs so they hold up across themes, and follows a block theme’s palette where one is published. See appearance & colours for how the styling layers work and where to set your own colours. If a theme still overrides the controls heavily, send us the theme name and we will take a look.

Send us a note with your versions and a link to the product, and describe what you expected against what happened. A screenshot of the Product Options panel and the product page usually tells us what we need.
