Three things from BTC, nothing to map.
Ask BTC to switch stock integration on for your account and they send an FTP address, a username and a password. The file always lives at Web Data/stock_levels_stock_id_fully_quoted.csv, and StockBoss already knows the product code is in the first column and the free stock in the second, so there are no columns to check and nothing to describe.
Five-minute freshness
Their file rebuilds every five minutes. Your schedule decides how much of that you take, from every 15 minutes to once a day, and a run writes only the figures that moved.
A bad file is refused
A half-finished download, an error page dressed as data or a file that shrank by half is refused, and your figures stay exactly where they were. An old number beats a wrong one.
ftp, ftps and sftp
Whichever flavour BTC gave you, StockBoss reaches it. A file on a supplier's server is the most common arrangement in this trade, and it is a first-class way in, not a workaround.
